This is our reimagining of the lowly spring and spring plate, overtime the original spring plate will creep and deflect causing inconsistencies is how the it acts. These updated version of the parts use modern materials (glass filled pom) to provide 3x less deflection compared to the original. The spring is very similar to the original in terms of compression force, about a 10% boost to account for the original sitting a module for 30 years.

Spring is straighter and less prone to clicking than any I've ever taken out of an old controller, and has tension very close to OEM as well. I had imagined potential alternative approaches to springs/plates, but this is an excellent version that stays true to and I would argue surpasses the original.
Took the slack out of my stick. Made my controller feel stiffer too
