The Ninten-Drawer is the best 72 pin connector upgrade for the original Nintendo Entertainment System.
Using a more reliable NES002 (AKA "Toploader") style cartridge connector and distinctive "drawer" mechanism, the Ninten-Drawer brings Toploader compatibility to the NES001 (AKA "Toaster") while maintaining the OEM look and feel you expect.
The Ninten-Drawer includes an interchangeable nameplate system with many additional styles available for purchase here, or use our template to design your own.

Compatability
Compatability
Because the NES002 “Toploader” is mechanically different than the NES001 “Frontloader”, there are some things that will not work because they simply do not “fit” into the Toploader style cart slot, and because the Ninten-Drawer uses a Toploader style slot, it shares those same limitations. After testing hundreds of games and accessories we can say with very high confidence that if it works on the Toploader, it will also work on the Ninten-Drawer.
One notable issue we have encountered is that Game Genie has a thicker than normal PCB. While this is fine for use in the original NES ZIF slot, using it in a Toploader may damage the slot pins by applying so much pressure the pins become permanently bent and no longer make contact with cartridges. Galoob (maker of the Game Genie) sold an adaptor for the Toploader to get around this problem, but it has become prohibitively expensive and therefore not a solution we can recommend. We will have a solution for this coming soon, but wanted to provide this level of transparency in this listing.

Had a NES that wouldn't read games anymore. The Nintendrawer saved my old NES and i’ve been using it almost every day since replacing the old 72 pin connector. Amazing product!
