This is the Heartbeat kit for OEM Gamecube Controllers. It combines two mods into a single unit:
PODE reduction/ potentiometer life enhancer - Over time pots will wear down and produce consistent signals. This is referred to as PODE, and you can see it in the screen prints in the listing. This mod compensates for this phenome by allowing voltage to more fully pass through the pot without signal degradation.
Snapback reduction - This also has a snapback reduction feature to make sure during intense gameplay there are no miss-inputs due to aggressive stick movement.
This requires soldering, more specifically 6 wires to be soldered onto the left thumbstick. Please refer tot he installation document which walks through the install as well as shows exactly how to tune the PODE reduction as well as the snapback.
